Notre Dame Ranks for 5th Consecutive Year in IDG’s Computerworld 2017 Best Places to Work in IT

IDG’s Computerworld has ranked the University of Notre Dame 11th among large organizations in the Computerworld 2017 Best Places to Work in IT list. This is the fifth year in a row that Notre Dame has ranked among the top 100 organizations that provide challenging work for information technology employees while providing great benefits and compensation. Notre Dame and other organizations will be included in coverage in Computerworld along with results from the 24th annual Best Places to Work in IT survey

“Recognizing Notre Dame as a best place to work in IT for the fifth year in a row highlights the amazing work that our team does, but it also shows that Notre Dame provides an environment for people to thrive personally and professionally,” said Ron Kraemer, vice president for information technology & chief information and digital officer. “I am proud of our division and excited to continue building on our success.”

Notre Dame’s Office of Information Technologies (OIT) works collaboratively with other IT staff throughout the University to meet the University’s strategic goals of excellence in teaching and learning, research and scholarship, campus life, University operations and Catholic mission. The OIT’s vision is to enhance and sustain service excellence for students, faculty, and staff by delivering value, driving innovation, and developing talented employees.

“The organizations on this year’s Best Places to Work in IT list excel at creating a dynamic and satisfying IT work environment,” says Ken Mingis, executive editor of Computerworld.  “In a competitive market for tech talent, these outstanding employers are able to attract highly skilled IT pros by offering great benefits, new learning opportunities, access to cutting-edge technologies and challenging, business-critical projects.”
