The University, in partnership with the Follett Higher Education Group and the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore, has launched a new course material service called Discover. Discover is an online suite of tools that offers fast and convenient access for instructors and students to course materials. With Discover Adopt, instructors can research, discover, and adopt course materials in one place. Discover Access allows students to view their required course materials, compare costs, and access their digital content.

Discover is available in Sakai, by following the Bookstore link on the left side menu, or on InsideND, by searching for Discover. Discover automatically routes instructors and students to the appropriate service, Adopt or Access. This video is a short introduction to Discover Adopt:

  • Discover Adopt simplifies and enhances the course material adoption process for instructors.
    • Features include single sign-on with your netID, a pre-populated list of assigned courses, and allows easy adoption of previously used course materials.
    • Simplified communication between instructors and the bookstore reduces errors in course material information
  • Discover Access enables students to quickly find course specific required and recommended course material information, such as ISBN and prices, and facilitates access to digital course materials through the service

The Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore is hosting two information and training sessions for faculty on Thursday, July 12 and Tuesday, July 17 from 12 to 1 p.m. in room  331, DeBartolo Hall. If you are interested in attending, please click to register for a session.

If you have any questions on the service or the information sessions, please contact the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore at (574) 631-1772 or  by emailing Justin Stecz in the bookstore at jstecz@nd.edu
