Congratulations to the Risk Management and Safety team who successfully navigated an Indiana OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) survey and has been recommended for STAR approval to IOSHA. Receiving this recommendation is a huge honor since the University is the first public or private higher education institution to receive VPP STAR recognition in part or in whole. This designation was seven years in the making and culminated with a successful and thorough four-day on-site evaluation where multiple elements of safety were assessed for best-in-class applicability and implementation.
