Effective January 1, 2020, administration for the Long Term Disability (LTD) insurance benefit for eligible faculty and staff will transition from The Hartford to Standard Insurance Company (The Standard).
The University decided to change vendors for its LTD insurance benefit in order to improve the overall experience for staff and faculty.
The change is only the administrator for the LTD insurance benefit. The income replacement benefit itself remains unchanged.
If you have a date of disability prior to January 1, 2020, you will apply for LTD with The Hartford.
