Executive Vice President Shannon Cullinan presented the inaugural Customer Engagement Award award to representatives of Anthony Travel at the Procurement Services Supplier Expo on Oct. 21 in the Downes Ballroom in Corbett Family Hall.

Procurement Services reviewed hundreds comments from faculty and staff after the Supplier Expo in 2018 and found that faculty and staff consistently expressed their appreciation for Anthony Travel's friendly and knowledgeable staff and outstanding service. Anthony Travel books more than 16,000 total reservations for the University each year, including flights, hotel accommodations and rental cars, and manages an additional 3,000 more reservations booked online annually through the University's travel system, Concur. Procurement Services has found that Anthony Travel can quickly advise travelers at the University on the best routes and available rates and can simplify trip scheduling with a simple call. “We have a very busy office and travel is a huge part of our work lives, said Maggie Demaegd in the Alliance for Catholic Education, "Anthony Travel has always provided great service, patience and a sense of humor to both our in-house and remote employees. Because of our unique programs, many [of them] off-site, our friends at Anthony Travel have proven to be indispensable to our entire workforce.”

Anthony Travel has served the University since January 1, 1991. “Anthony Travel has been a reliable, long-standing partner to the University, providing cost-effective, time-efficient solutions to our travelers, and they are well-known around campus for their professional, top-notch service” said Charity Roberts, procurement specialist.
