Office of Information Technologies (OIT) system engineers will upgrade the Central Authentication Service (CAS) on Sunday, January 7, 2018 between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m.

During this timeframe, anyone trying to login to a service that requires single sign-on (including Gmail, Google, Box, ServiceNow, Sakai, etc.), may experience intermittent connectivity issues.

The upgrade is required to remediate a security vulnerability. Once the upgrade completes, these login pages will have changed:

  • CAS login page—The page where you enter your NetID and password when accessing an ND service will now show the interlocking ND logo
  • Two step login pages—The page that appears after the CAS login page when you need to verify your credentials through two step login will look different, as well as the page that appears when you want to access your device management page.

You can find examples of the new login pages that will be in place after the upgrade here. Since we are still finalizing the changes, there may be some minor differences between these screenshots and the final version once the upgrade is complete.

If you have any questions, please contact your departmental IT support staff, or the OIT Help Desk at 574-631-8111, oithelp@nd.edu or chat online at: help.nd.edu.
