Holy Cross Closure Holiday Break

Beginning Monday, Dec. 17, the Utilities Department will completely close Holy Cross Drive from west of the Fire Station to east of the St. Liam Parking Lot.  This closure is expected to last until Saturday, Jan. 12. The sidewalk between the Fire Station and the St. Liam parking lot will be closed Dec. 3 to Jan. 18. Please see map for details.

This planned closure will give crews time to extensively excavate the road to install new chilled water piping connections as well as other utility connections between the Power Plant and the new Chilled Water Pumping Station. The timing of this road closure coordinates with the holiday break and chilled water system outages so as to minimize impacts to both traffic and system operations.

Because of this work, the Bulla-Main route of the Notre Dame Shuttle will be re-routed Monday through Friday the weeks of December 17-21 and January 2-11. The shuttle will turn left (south) onto St. Joseph Dr. and stop at the North Dining Hall crosswalk to let passengers off and pick up for the Main Building. The shuttle will then turn around at Siegfried Hall behind the Center for Social Concerns on the way back to the Bulla parking lot. There will be a shuttle sign on the curb by North Dining Hall crosswalk indicating the "Bulla-Main" shuttle route.
