Summer is a time when nature comes back to life again. It’s a season of revitalization and growth. And it’s the perfect time to revitalize your IT skills by attending OIT training classes.

You’ll find a variety of classes to help you grow, develop or revitalize skills in Google and Adobe Creative Cloud applications, as well as other valuable IT tools and services.

All OIT training classes are free for faculty and staff to attend. They will be hosted via Zoom, or held in IT Center training labs once faculty and staff are back on campus. The summer session begins June 1, and here is an overview of this summer’s classes:

  • Google Apps: Find a class to hone your skills in Google Drive, Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Slides.

  • Spreadsheets: Increase your spreadsheet know-how with an introductory class. Or take an intermediate level class that focuses on Macros and Pivot Tables; these classes are available in both Excel and Google Sheets.

  • Design & Digital Media Tools: Here’s your chance to learn more about designing and creating images, graphics, brochures, videos and more. Classes are available for all levels in the newest versions of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Rush, and Spark.

  • ND Data & Administrative Services: Those who want to dig into ND data may be interested in Data Governance Bootcamp or the dataND Introduction class. Administrative classes returning this summer include AiM, buyND and travelND.

There will be two OIT  Lunch & Learns featured this summer. On Tuesday, June 23, you can find out more about new G Suite features in Google’s Latest Updates. If you want valuable tips on how to handle disruptions and change during challenging times, plan to attend Coping with Change on Thursday, July 30.

You can find the full schedule of summer classes and class descriptions at oit.nd.edu/training.
