In response to a division pulse survey, University Enterprises and Events offered UEE associates a professional development series while students were on spring break. UEE’s employee engagement team developed the programming.

The sessions included health and wellness, a focus on the Notre Dame mission, creating a culture of inclusion, personal development, professional development and more.

“It is important to us to continually enhance the UEE employee experience,” said Ashley Zingo, director of employee engagement. “We created a professional development series tailored towards UEE members covering a variety of topics that we heard from our team members were important.”

UEE leads licensing, the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore, the Morris Inn, McKenna Hall, Experience Notre Dame, Rohr’s, Three Leaf Catering, Campus Dining, St. Michael’s Laundry and the Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Employees had the opportunity to participate in at least two of the 34 professional development sessions over three days.

“We have received very positive feedback from employees — many asking for more sessions and opportunities like this,” Zingo said. “After the success this year, we will be definitely making the UEE Professional Development Series an annual signature program.”
